About the Role
Girl Scouts of Southeastern New England is excited to launch a Seasonal Recruitment Team to support our fall membership drive, our busiest and most impactful recruitment season. This temporary, stipend-based position is ideal for individuals who are enthusiastic about youth development, enjoy engaging with communities, and are energized by outreach work. As a key member of the recruitment team, you will help grow Girl Scout membership across RI, MA, and CT by leading engaging events and connecting with potential members.
Responsibilities
Upon completion of all responsibilities and approval by the Director of Membership, submit a provided invoice form for the full stipend of $800.

As a key member of the recruitment team, you will help grow Girl Scout membership across RI, MA, and CT by leading engaging events and connecting with potential members.
Responsibilities
- Attend Required Training: Participate in a one-hour mandatory training session to prepare for recruitment activities.
- Facilitate 10 Recruitment Events: Facilitate recruitment events (approximately 2 – 3 hours per hours) organized by GSSNE, which may include:
- Table set up and breakdown
- Leading simple activities or lunchroom talks
- Representing GSSNE at Council or school events
- Enter Event Data: Enter lead and interest form information into Salesforce (approximately 2 hours of data entry)
- Conduct Follow-Up Calls: Make 50 follow-up phone calls using provided scripts to engage and inform interested families in Salesforce.
- Passion for the Girl Scout mission: building girls of courage, confidence, and character who make the world a better place
- Strong communication and coordination skills
- Prior experience in sales, youth programs, or community outreach is preferred
- Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to travel to sites throughout Rhode Island, southeastern Massachusetts, and eastern Connecticut
- Availability during afternoons and evenings, as most events will take place during these times
- Ability to carry, lift, and transfer up to 25 lbs.
- Ability to stand and sit for extended periods of time.
- Responsible for maintaining and returning all borrowed event supplies
- Must successfully pass a criminal background check
